Description:
The entire route up Zimny Potok is almost 10 km long IN BOTH DIRECTIONS and kayaking takes about 3.5 hours, depending on the range and pace of paddling.
With sufficient water level on the route you will encounter only 3 obstacles, in the form of beaver dams, suitably adapted for easy crossing, where to safely get off, you swim to the shore sideways, brace your paddle vertically against the bottom and side of the kayak, then drag the kayaks to the other side of the dam, launch sideways to the shore and get on, bracing your paddle again. Thanks to the dams, there is practically no current and there is plenty of water.
On the first 2 km section of the kayak route there are 2 dams, then there is a kilometre of backwaters (lake), and then we enter the Odrzański Forest, where after about 1 km there is a 3rd dam, from which to the end of the route there are about 700 m. The route is marked with directional signs and ends at a pond with a sign saying „END OF ROUTE”, but you can turn around at any point and take the same route back to the Rental Shop, where you pay according to how long you spent kayaking.
How to get there:
We are 15 min. by car from the center of Zielona Góra: Batorego Street > Łężyca > Wysokie – 1 km direction Pomorsko (before the railway)
Price list:
>The price of renting a kayak is PLN 15/hour per person. The kayak trip lasts about 3,5 hours.
>Renting a kayak for a period of more than 2 days, also with your own transport, costs PLN 90/day for a kayak.
>All other equipment and attractions are included in the kayak rental price (free of charge)
